Lamberet displays world first!

Lamberet displayed the world’s first hydrogen refrigerated industrial vehicle at Solutrans.

The Frigovan H2 Zero Emission is based on a Renault Kangoo ZE (which is an electric van). It boasts a Symbio hydrogen fuel cell, dedicated Easyfit insulation, as well as Lamberet Kerstner three-mode refrigeration and on-board telematics.

FOCUS visited the Lamberet stand and inspected the vehicle – it’s really innovative. It’s designed for the controlled-temperature last-kilometre market, but it has a range of up to 400 km.

Experts on the stand told us that it won’t take very long to “refuel” the vehicle with hydrogen – less than five minutes, in fact! It boasts eight hours of refrigeration time – and you can even leave the doors of the vehicle open when it’s stopped.

The vehicle is so innovative that the Frigovan H2 Zero Emission received a gold award (bodybuilder manufacturer category) at the Solutrans 2017 Innovation Awards. The chaps from Lamberet roared with delight when the award was announced (it was most endearing).
