According to Tyrexpo Africa 2014 organiser, ECI International, the show will be the largest gathering of tyre and equipment suppliers ever assembled for a Tyrexpo Africa exhibition. More than 140 exhibitors are getting ready to strut their stuff from March 4 to 6 at the Sandton Convention Centre.

“With so much interest in the show and large numbers of visitors expected on all three days, we encourage delegates to pre-register via our website, to avoid having to queue to get into the show,” says Rowena Suthers of ECI International.

Since its launch, Tyrexpo Africa has certainly established itself as an influential event, bringing together domestic and international suppliers. One of the new international exhibitors this year will be German wholesaler Baro GmbH. The company will be seeking new distribution partners for its European-manufactured ranges of car, truck and agricultural tyres.

“This will be our first appearance at Tyrexpo Africa and we regard it as an important opportunity to promote our brands, particularly for truck applications,” explains Baro’s sales director Alexander Artamanov.

He adds: “In the last couple of years we have established a presence in east Africa and are now ready to extend our market penetration into the rest of Africa by working with well-established and experienced distribution partners.”

The show won’t only feature tyres, however, as the retreading, tyre repair and recycling sectors, as well as suppliers of workshop equipment, tools, accessories and consumables will get their spot in the limelight – providing something for everyone in the tyre and related industries.
