Paramount expands

Following 17 years of trailer manufacturing excellence, Paramount Trailers has expanded its operations with the opening of its new 75 000 m2 manufacturing facility in the Midvaal area.
โThe decision was taken two years ago to grow the business further and become a serious player in the market,โ says managing director, Warren Marques. The new R150 million facility, which was completed in August, has 200 staff and the capacity to produce 250 units a month.
In early 2014 the company will switch to a production line-based operation for its range of 15 trailer models, while still offering specialised production.
โOur success has always been rooted in the service we give to our customers,โ notes Marques, โas well as the excellent trailers we produce.โ
That great service has also been extended to of a new venture, Paramount Truck Centre, which will offer clients pre-owned trucks and trailers from a lot adjacent to the new premises. The new company was opened at the beginning of October and aims to provide clients with a โone-stop-shopโ.
In the future, Paramount will also begin offering its clients rental trailers to keep their businesses moving during the lead time to delivery of their new trailers.
โOur new facility reflects our commitment to the industry,โ notes Marques. โWe feel we have a real winning recipe for success.โ
