Scania is serious about sustainability

Scania has taken the next step in its longstanding commitment to sustainability. The company recently signed the United Nations Global Compact – an initiative for businesses to commit to 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour relations, environmental sustainability and anti-corruption.

By signing the commitment, Scania confirms and reiterates its clear vision of responsibility to its stakeholders and the general public.

Martin Lundstedt, president and CEO of Scania, comments: “For Scania, this is a way to express its support for internationally recognised principles of sound business practices, and to apply clear and straightforward principles, which can be communicated and applied throughout the company.”
