Trucker’s game
Although it’s not exactly a platform made for Battleschool’s simulated Bugger battles in Orson Scott Card’s science-fiction epic, Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS 2) has more than enough realism and cutting-edge graphics to make its simulation experience as realistic as one can get nowadays.
Being the sequel to its successful predecessor, ETS 2 allows the user to drive through more than 60 European cities with stunning graphics, sharp resolution and the latest high-tech trucks from all the major players in the industry.
The game allows for a massive amount of truck customisation, rivalling driving simulators like Gran Turismo. ETS 2 also simulates real driving situations and does not compromise when it comes to driving safety within its virtual realm.
While a basic version of the game is available for free and unlimited play, the paid-for version provides a far greater range of trucks and features that can be customised.
The minimum system requirements needed to play ETS 2 are Windows/XP/Vista/7/8, with a Dual Core 2.4 GHZ CPU, pushing some 2 GB RAM with the assistance of a GeForce 7600 graphics card – whatever that means.
