NP200 gets wild new look

Nissan has released a limited edition of the NP200. The locally built NP200 Loaded presents sportier visual upgrades and special additions.

It is available exclusively in white with “Loaded” branding that integrates silver and red accents in the decals, carpets and seats.

The smartly designed and spacious cabin also sees full leather upholstery, a front-loading CD/MP3/WMA/radio/USB/aux with a Bluetooth-enabled audio system, special black carpets and remote central locking. Personal use is further improved by the addition of several storage spaces.

The exterior has stainless steel nudge- and sports bars, black roof rails, a black tonneau cover and specially designed Nissan-Concept alloy wheels.

The new bakkie also sees an improvement in torque from its 1,6 base model, with the tractable petrol engine now having 200 Nm (compared to the previous 128 Nm), which is available at 3 000 r/min that is matched to short ratios for the first three gears.

It is also available with air-conditioning and the safety package that includes ABS and dual airbags.

Featuring an 800 kg payload, a standard rubberised load box of 1 250 litres and a specially designed tailgate that can handle 300 kg (a feature not common to a bakkie this small), the NP200 Loaded still offers versatility, reliability and value for money.

The Loaded is offered at R166 500, with the price difference between it and the normal model being below the cost of the value-added extras (worth R25 000). Only 300 units will be made available.
