Commonwealth trade for global growth

Durban-based Into Africa Project Logistics (IAPL) is set to be the first logistics partner in Africa to get on board the Commonwealth Trading and Collaboration Platform; a collaborative business e-community launched by the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) and the AMPP Group.

โ€œWe are currently experiencing a technology-driven revolution in the way businesses collaborate. The Commonwealth is uniquely positioned to lead the way in leveraging technology to facilitate trade and business globally,โ€ explains Pierre Proner, CEO, AMPP Group.

The AMPP Group works at the crossroads of cutting-edge technology and fully integrated client services to deliver technology-driven initiatives to both business-to-business and business-to-consumer audiences.

The Commonwealth Trading and Collaboration platform is a cloud-based platform designed to connect buyers and suppliers. It will allow organisations across the 53 Commonwealth Countries to:

  • Establish direct contacts with their business counterparts in the Commonwealth;
  • Gain access to current market intelligence across the 53 member states, unlocking huge investment potential;
  • Promote their products and services to thousands of platform members;
  • Access thought leadership content on doing business in the Commonwealth;
  • Develop lucrative trade opportunities;
  • Consult with experts when entering new and emerging markets.

โ€œWe were thrilled at the announcement of this collaborative development in November last year, and the Commonwealth Trade Initiativeโ€™s subsequent request for us to get on board. This ability to connect effortlessly with potential business partners in real-time in an e-community provides a phenomenal opportunity for further growth into Africa,โ€ says Michelle Stuart, general manager of IAPL.
