Altech Netstar takes vehicle recovery forward

Altech Netstar has launched its modular Safe and Sound product suite. Locally designed and manufactured, the product is offered at three levels, beginning with the basic option that includes Altech Netstar’s full stolen-vehicle recovery suite of services.

Safe and Sound Plus offers live traffic-information and driver-behaviour alerts. The system also has customisable preset alarms and alerts, such as service and licence-renewal notifications. An automated South African Revenue Service-compliant logbook will be available soon.

Safe and Sound Supreme adds early warning features such as a key-ring activator, and the ability to flag a trip as business or private for logbook purposes.

A smartphone app is due for release before the end of the year.

It doesn’t end there, though. “We can now boldly say that, if we don’t get it back, we will pay it back,” says Harry Louw, MD of Altech Netstar.

Provided a user complies with the applicable terms and conditions, Altech Netstar’s Recovery Service Warranty will pay up to R200 000 if the company fails to recover a subscriber’s vehicle.

All Safe and Sound options also include Jamming Resist, which prevents the jamming of GSM tracking unit signals during vehicle theft, and automatically activates the recovery beacon.

Numerous value-added services are also available, including the Altech Netstar A2B and Road Guard bouquets.

“This bundle of innovative services shifts our offering away from the grudge purchase arena and into the sphere where customers receive value and can choose the level of service they want to enjoy,” says Louw.

“Safe and Sound is a key driver of our commitment to ‘customers for life’ and we have no doubt that it will change the stolen-vehicle recovery game forever,” he adds.
