Call for Carbon Tax comment

Remember to comment on Carbon Tax

The Southern African Bus Operators Association (Saboa) has reminded its and all other members of the transport industry that the deadline for comment on the draft regulations of the Carbon Offset, in terms of the draft Carbon Tax Bill, is drawing near.

The Carbon Offset Regulations were developed jointly by the National Treasury, the Department of Energy and the Department of Environmental Affairs and sets out the procedure for the use of carbon offsets by taxpayers to reduce their carbon tax liability.

The document is published for comment and is available on the National Treasury website. Members of the bus industry can submit their comments to Saboa by Monday, July 18.
