Little bus, big market

Little bus, big market

Truck Centre, an authorised dealer of Iveco, is enjoying increased market share in the medium bus segment with a 22-seater bus aimed at everything from the minibus taxi industry to schools and shuttle-service operators.

Yes, the Iveco Daily 50C15V15 panel van has been converted into a people-carrier! The Iveco Daily Bus is designed to be the most suitable solution for all South African medium commercial passenger transport missions.

Truck Centre contracted a conversion specialist to do the necessary changes and can therefore offer a wide variety of seating variants, including luxury leather, vinyl or cloth with variable seat depths. Customised colours and patterns are also available on request.

But it doesn’t end there. For those in the tourism or shuttle-service sectors, luxuries such as roof-mounted passenger area air-conditioning, overhead parcel trays, TV/DVD and surround-sound systems as well as mini-bars are also available.

Up front in the driver’s cab, cross-cab access allows the driver to get out from either side of the vehicle – an advantage when needing to board and alight in tight spots. The front seats, with integrated headrests, have adjustment levels for height, reach and rake. Other options available are seat heating, heated suspended seats with lumbar support, and arm rests.

On the front passenger side, customers can choose between a double passenger bench or an adjustable single seat, with the option of a six-litre storage drawer under the dual passenger bench.

Manoeuvrability is enhanced by the wide steering angle, allowing exceptional agility in small spaces. Standard items include air-conditioning, parcel shelves, CD/radio, seat belts, ABS and a driver airbag.

The Iveco Daily Bus has undergone rigorous safety tests in order to achieve maximum safety standards and meet South African safety legislation. The bus is fitted with a rollover protection kit as standard – and, with the emergency roof hatch and fitment of seat belts to all passenger seats, ensures high levels of protection for the passengers on board.

With so much on offer, the Iveco Daily Bus brings a new, stylish, safe and deeply customised dimension to the country’s medium commercial passenger transport segment. It’s a popular option, and with Iveco’s standard two-year/unlimited km warranty, an attractive one too.
