Nautic Africa appoints two new executives

Nautic Africa, a South African shipbuilding and maritime solutions company, has appointed Keith Govender as its new chief executive officer, and Grant Bassingthwaighte as its chief commercial officer.

Govender joined Nautic Africa as chief services and support officer in 2013 after working in the South African Navy and the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism.

As CEO, Govender will oversee the general management of the company. He will also focus on leading Nautic Africa to become the chief maritime service provider in South Africa.

The Nautic Group sees the appointment of Bassingthwaighte as instrumental for the company’s current high growth. Bassingthwaighte’s main focus is to support business development and to contribute to strategic decision-making at Nautic Africa.
