On the forefront of a new frontier

Itโ€™s thrilling to try something new โ€ฆ and for Imperial Holdings, excitement is filling the air as itโ€™s entering the mobile telecommunications industry with the acquisition of mobile technology firm ForeFront Africa.

โ€œImperial is excited to enter into the strategically critical mobile technology arena alongside a team with such notable skill and extensive African experience,โ€ says Cobus Rossouw, chief integration officer. โ€œWe are now well placed to partner our clients in leveraging the potential of mobile commerce in their value chains.โ€

The company will form part of the newly launched Resolve brand and become Resolve Mobile. ForeFront Africa was founded by Tracy Langdon Surkont and Nicholas Haralambous. They had previously worked together at Vodacom South Africa. In 2013, after both left seperate ventures, they spotted a market requirement for skilled mobile talent willing to work in African countries with experience in those markets.

โ€œAfter founding the company, Tracy and I knew that we were onto something when we were approached by companies throughout Africa and further afield to make use of our services,โ€ says Haralambous. โ€œPartnering with Imperial Holdings will bring massive growth opportunities to our company which we would have battled to achieve otherwise.โ€

Surkont says: โ€œWe understand that the market is complicated; each country in Africa needs unique attention and each company brings with it a different offering and unique requirements.โ€

And this will bring about more exciting times as Imperial Holdings and ForeFront Africa enter these markets under the Resolve Mobile name.
