Putting new rubber on the road

Slovenia-based Sava, a leading brand in the Goodyear portfolio, is stepping up its product offering by launching three new tyre types for canny operators – the Avant 4, Orjak 4 and Cargo 4.

These 17,5-inch, regional-haul or local-delivery tyres can be used for a wide range of vehicles; including articulated trucks, rigids and an array of trailers.

The Avant 4, which is designed for steer axles, has a new cavity shape that provides a better tyre footprint and more even wear. Goodyear says that its carcass construction provides a lower heat build-up for good durability. Noise is also kept low thanks to staggered tread blocks, with stone penetration protectors ensuring longevity.

The Orjak 4, for drive axles, has a specific block-type tread pattern for enhanced traction and wet braking. This wide tread, with its open design, also offers high wearability and therefore greater mileage.

The Cargo 4 trailer tyre is suited to a wide range of applications, including low platform trailers. Two sizes are available: 215/75 R 17.5 135/133 J and 235/75 R 17.5 143/141 J.

The Avant- and Orjak 4 tyres are available in four different sizes: 205/75 R 17.5 124/122 M; 215/75 R 17.5 126/124 M; 225/75 R 17.5 129/127 M and 235/75 R 17.5 132/130 M.
