Recognition for a job well done

UD Trucks Southern Africa has announced its dealer network’s top achievers, at a time when the company is preparing for some interesting developments over the next five years.

“The UD Trucks management team and I are extremely excited about the future of the brand in this country, as we are currently planning the introduction of a game-changing new range of products and services to customers,” says Jacques Carelse, managing director of UD Trucks Southern Africa.

“For this reason, we are also constantly looking for innovative ways in which we can go the extra mile to support our customers. Our dealers are on the forefront of this drive,” he adds.

The UD Trucks Annual Dealer Awards celebrated the network’s top achievers, awarding accolades for their performances during 2013. Finalists and winners were announced in 23 categories ranging from administration to aftermarket, sales and financial services. The most coveted accolades were, of course, the Dealer of the Year Awards.

The winner of the 2013 Medium Dealer of the Year Award, Produkta Trucks of Nelspruit, excelled in every aspect of its business during the past year, while growing its market share considerably. The dealer also recorded a stellar performance, measured against the strict requirements set by UD Trucks Southern Africa, in sales, service and parts.

And, for the first time in its history, the company presented the Large Dealer of the Year Award to two dealers: BB Truck and Tractor, of Polokwane, and McCarthy Commercial Vehicles Boksburg.

“Both dealers excelled in their respective regions and were true ambassadors of the UD Trucks brand during 2013,” says Carelse. “They set the standard in all the various disciplines within the UD Trucks dealer network, from training to sales and aftermarket care.”
