Safeline reaches benchmark status

The South African National Standards and The United Kingdom Vehicle Approval Authority have awarded Safeline Brake Pads the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) as well as E-Mark certification for its D7001 heavy-duty brake pads.

The certification came after stringent tests to ensure that the D7001 met the international and local braking systems regulations.

“As the only South African brake pad manufacturer to have both the SABS and E-Mark certification, the company has held true to its vision,” notes Diyan Botha, general manager of Safeline Brake Pads.

“It is our mission to manufacture and develop leading world-class brake pads and to supply customers with the safest brake pad on the market. We are very pleased to be awarded the SABS and E-Mark certification on our first heavy-duty brake pad, the D7001.”

The D7001 fits the Mercedes-Benz Actros, DAF XF and Iveco Trakker. The company has also added the D7008 and D7019 for Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Isuzu and Renault trucks, which include brake accessory kits and a complete brake-fitment package.
