Your next COF is on Hino

Between September 1 and November 30, Hino South Africa will pay the Certificate of Fitness (CoF) examination fee for all Hino trucks, with a gross vehicle mass over 3 500 kg.

Hino South Africa has launched a campaign to attract extra customers requiring services to its countrywide dealer network. It is also making a positive contribution to road safety by encouraging truck owners to have the repairs required carried out at a franchised workshop.

“Hino South Africa is very aware of the large number of trucks on our roads that are unroadworthy – often due to repairs or regular maintenance being carried out at non-franchised workshops,” says Ernie Trautmann, the vice-president of Hino South Africa.

“This invalidates the warranty on the truck (if it is still in the warranty period) and cancels the warranty on any genuine parts that have been fitted to the truck. It can also result in a breakdown, because the technician is not properly qualified to carry out the work to Hino’s specification,” he concludes.

In order to qualify for this offer, customers will need to take the truck to a Hino dealer after the CoF examination, so that the workshop can quote on the repairs required. The offer does not extend to trailers.
