HFT takes on Fleetguard

Cummins Filtration and Hytec Fluid Technology (HFT) have teamed up to bring more convenience to customers.

As part of a recent distribution agreement, HFT has been appointed Super Dealer for Cummins Filtrationโ€™s range of Fleetguard engine protection products for southern Africa. It will market and distribute the entire Fleetguard range, including NanoNet โ€“ a recently engineered synthetic fuel filter media designed to extend engine life.

โ€œFleetguard is ranked as the top two global brands in the international filtration market,โ€ points out HFT general manager Sandor Bottyan. โ€œCummins Filtrationโ€™s manufacturing investment in South Africa, along with its technical skills and stockholding, means our collaboration is mutually beneficial.โ€

HFT takes on Fleetguard Coinciding with this collaboration was the recent opening of the companyโ€™s new filtration and coolant manufacturing plant at its regional distribution centre for southern Africa, in Woodmead, Johannesburg.

The premises incorporate Cummins Filtrationโ€™s component warehousing and local manufacturing facility, which produces Fleetguard fuel and air filters and Fleetguard Organic Acid Technology (OAT) engine coolant.

Representatives of both companies cite African expansion as one of the drivers of the collaboration. HSA has comprehensive distribution and operation centres in Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Kenya Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
