Hino and Toyota score highly

NADA awards for Hino and Toyota

Hino and Toyota have each received a National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) award for dealer satisfaction in the truck, light commercial vehicle (LCV) and passenger segments.

In determining the winner, NADA, in conjunction with Lightstone Consumer, conducted a dealer satisfaction survey for 40 automotive brands in South Africa with 1 319 completed responses received.

The results indicated that Toyota South Africa Motors was a cut above the rest in the 2017 NADA Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI), while Hino came out top in the commercial category with a score of 85,4 percent. This represents an increase of 1,8 percent from 2016, and means that Hino has now moved into the number one position in this category.

In the LCV and passenger category, Toyota achieved gold status for the second year running. Toyota’s gold status is a result of the brand achieving a score of 81,8 percent on a weighted average of various elements and measures. This is well above the 2017 average industry rating of 72,9.

In reaction to this achievement, Toyota SA Motors has expressed delight at receiving the awards, and conveyed its gratitude to the dealer networks across all its brands for delivering the best possible service to its customers.
