Multi Loads expands with 20 Internationals
Operating since 1987, and servicing our dearly beloved soft drinks and beer industry, Multi Loads, has, more than 20 years on, just upped its transport-ante with an increase in its fleet of over 26% – all of the new vehicles being International trucks.
Multi Loads in Rosslyn, Pretoria, recently took delivery of 20 new International 9800i 6×4 truck tractors fitted with autoshift transmission and double bunk cabs. Supplied by ELT International Trucks, these newcomers will be utilised to service the beer and soft drinks industry.
Chris de Witt and Ewald van Rensburg started Multi Loads 23 years ago, and the company has gone from strength to strength throughout the years. Multi Loads’ current fleet of 75 trucks will be greatly complemented by the 20 new International 9800i units, which increase the total number of Internationals in the fleet.
The two owners have developed a great working relationship and together have created a very successful operation. Multi Loads has an operations department and well-equipped workshop in Rosslyn, staffed with highly qualified technicians. According to De Witt, their hands-on approach is key to the success of the business. “We don’t sell a product, but our main focus is on service to our customers,” he says.
Van Rensburg adds, “To maximise customer satisfaction and vehicle uptime, we need a product that we can rely on and that was why the company decided to buy the International Trucks. We wanted a supplier who could partner Multi Loads in providing service and back-up to our customers now and in the future.” According to De Witt and Van Rensburg, it was International’s commitment to service that was the reason they chose International as a partner.
