Putting brakes on for safety

Knorr-Bremse, an international leader in the manufacturing of braking and control systems for commercial vehicles, was another industry leader that put its weight behind Truck Test 2017.

Alex Bester, national sales and marketing manager, says Knorr-Bremse supplies the world’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers with comprehensive and complete braking systems, such as ABS, or the latest in EBS technology.

Apart from complete braking systems, its product range also includes driver-assistance solutions, powertrain components and associated aftermarket services. The company has six distributors in South Africa, and its products are also distributed throughout sub-Saharan Africa and western Africa.

“It was important for Knorr-Bremse to have a presence in Truck Test 2017 to meet its goal of improving the safety and economy of the commercial vehicles on South African roads,” says Bester.

Bester explains that the company wants to provide the commercial market with complete solutions, and that Truck Test provides the opportunity to listen to its customers and to identify their specific needs with regard to control systems.

“If you don’t talk to your clients, you will never know what they really need. By supporting and attending Truck Test we were able to show our customers that we appreciate them,” Bester concludes.
