September 4 is Casual Day

With a consistently high number of people left disabled following serious motor vehicle accidents, organisations that support those who suffer this fate need all the help and support they can get.

Casual Day, South Africa’s foremost fundraiser for people with disabilities, will take place this year on Friday, September 4. With the colour of “zingy mint”, the theme for 2015 is: “Spring into Action”.

This year, five collector’s stickers will be produced, each with a different image, costing a mere R10 each.

Last year R28 million was raised countrywide. The national beneficiaries of Casual Day, through their affiliates and branches all over South Africa, provide services to people with disabilities.

“Casual Day provides South Africans with an opportunity to show their solidarity with those who have disabilities, at the same time enjoying teambuilding and camaraderie with fellow participants,” says Andrea Vinassa, publicity and promotions for Casual Day.

“It gives people an opportunity to be creative and have fun while contributing to the betterment of society. It is community spirit in action.”

More information is available from the Casual Day website.
