Solutrans 2017 set to stun!

Solutrans 2017 set to stun!

After visiting the Solutrans expo in 2015, FOCUS editor Charleen Clarke came back utterly fascinated at what the best in Europe had to offer – and it looks as though the 2017 event is set to be even bigger and better.

While the event will take place between 21 and 25 November (at Lyon Eurexpo in France), there has already been a six-percent increase in the total surface area booked and a seven-percent rise in the number of exhibitors expected, compared with 2015. There has also been 28-percent increase in the number of first-time exhibitors.

Today, Solutrans boasts an unprecedented level of support from manufacturers of trucks, trailers and semi-trailers; light-commercial vehicles; heavy-duty and commercial-vehicle bodybuilders; original equipment manufacturers; after-sales specialists and service companies.

International exhibitors account for 22 percent of the total number of exhibitors and this year 16 countries will be represented.

There will also be two other specific highlights: a Chinese Pavilion will be exhibiting at the show for the first time, and there will be a day dedicated to Sweden; an innovative country in terms of development of sustainable mobility.

Excitingly, in 2017, Solutrans joins the French Tech movement with the exclusive launch of a start-up village. Dedicated to smart mobility and transportation, this space will host young firms promoting innovative solutions, including names such as Convargo, Chronotruck, Dashdoc, Noox, Shippeo and Truckfly.
