One week till the big #MANLE2 reveal!

A big reveal is planned to take place at the 2017 Southern African Bus Operators’ Association (Saboa) Conference, on Wednesday, May 24.

What is it, you may ask? Well, after ten years, MAN Truck & Bus SA will bid a fond farewell to its current Lionโ€™s Explorer bus and welcome the next-generation Lionโ€™s Explorer 2 to the market. โ€จโ€จ

โ€œThe facelift is more in line with our European product portfolio. It is more modern and extremely stylish; ahead of its time in comparison to its competitors,โ€ explains Philip Kalil-Zackey, senior manager sales and product: bus.โ€จโ€จ

โ€œThe new design also adds improved aerodynamics, which, in turn, helps reduce drag and positively affects fuel consumption. MAN will also stick to its tried-and-tested structural design, which includes the full structure in 3CR12 corrosion-resisting stainless steel,โ€ he adds.

โ€จโ€จCommonality of body parts will include windscreens, side glass, passenger and service doors, while more features (including added safety items) will be revealed on the day.โ€จโ€จ

Kalil-Zackey will be joined by MD Markus Geyer and Yasin Uslu, head of sales: bus โ€“ region overseas, for the big reveal at 12:30 on the MAN stand.
